• Please rest assured that in Hobnob, preserving your privacy and security is our top priority, and we make every effort in our power to do so. We are committed to protecting the privacy of your data and information that you share with us, whether when registering on the application or when using it; however, this does not mean that we are responsible for the security and privacy of your data and information that you share with other individuals or entities through the application.
• In compliance with the application policies and in order to ensure the security of all users benefiting from our services, we require to have some necessary data and information at the time of registration to verify the identities of the users wishing to benefit from our services. Rest assured that we will not share such data with any third parties without your permission. Nevertheless, Hobnob may not be able to withhold such data from the competent government authorities in the case of a permission issued from the Public Prosecutor's Office or in the event of a court order that involves you being an accused, perpetrator or suspect of a crime or violation of the laws applicable within the State of Kuwait, and we may provide some data to private legal authorities in accordance with the requirements of need and necessity.
• We may make amendments at any time without giving reasons to delete, change, or add to our services, terms of use, or privacy policy, therefore, it is important that you always check the content of this agreement to be informed of any change that may occur.
• Your use of Hobnob or its services is an irrebuttable presumption that you have explicitly and unconditionally agreed to all terms, conditions and policies stated for the use of the application and benefitting from its services.
• Similar to other applications, Hobnob may collect some information about users, such as your Unique Device Identifier (UDID), last login, country, location changes, and other information such as your name, gender, phone number, profile picture, among others, and that information may be retained in general without being associated with a particular user.
• In order to provide our services to you, it may be necessary to obtain your consent to certain authorizations such as access to your contacts or location to enable you to participate in conversations and gain access to the application features.
• Your location may be revealed, or other users may be able to find out where you are or your location changes.
• In Hobnob, we use cookies to store some of the necessary information to provide our services in a way that lives up to the expectations and aspirations of the users, which is why cookies may be used to provide and display advertisements that corresponds to your desires or interests. You are always allowed to deny or disable our permission to use cookies at any time by changing the settings of your phone or electronic device, but this may result in a malfunction or deficiency in the service provided to you.
• In Hobnob, we do not have the power to control advertisements, or the tools advertisers use to show their advertisements through the application, so if you want to disable advertisements, you can contact the relevant advertisers to learn how to unsubscribe from their advertising services.
• We may share aggregated information related to the users, such as the total number of users, the number of users in each country, or in each chat room.
• We may store some data on the servers that provide us with services necessary for the application's work, which may be located outside Kuwait.
• In Hobnob, we have the right to monitor the general activity of users in public chat rooms by our observers designated to ensure the integrity of the content and services provided by us, and users’ satisfaction, and also to monitor comments and published materials in order to ensure compliance with the application policies and ensure the security of users.
• We emphasize that we will not, through our observers, request any personal information about you, such as residential, financial, or personal information, as this is not their prerogative, and we will never request your password.
• From time to time, we may store some public conversations in chat rooms with the aim of conducting studies on them and on the performance of our servers to improve and develop our services. We will delete these records within a reasonable period of time after the completion of those studies.
• It is strictly forbidden to publish any material or content that constitutes an attack on the privacy of the websites, companies, or properties of others, whether they are real persons or legal figures, and also to publish copied material, violate any intellectual rights or copyrights, or infringe the rights and privacy of others.
• We contend that despite the fact that access to the services provided through Hobnob is available to everyone as per the stated terms and conditions, registration and/or use of the application is limited to adults only. We bear no responsibility for the use of the application by children as a result of entering false information in order to obtain membership or access to the chat rooms provided through the application.
• These terms and conditions have been drafted in both Arabic and English. In case of a conflict or inconsistency between the Arabic and English versions, the terms and conditions stipulated in the Arabic version shall prevail.
